Thomas "Tommy" H. Javens II, 42, of Rochester, is absent from the body and face to face with our Lord.
On Saturday, September 10, 2022, Tommy was blessed with the promise of Eternal Life in Heaven by the Grace of God through his belief in Jesus Christ.
"For whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved." - Acts 16:31a
He was born October 19, 1979, in, Rochester, he was the son of the late Thomas H. Javens. Tommy was a bright, goofy, soul who could light up the room and make everyone smile. He was always there to help anyone in need.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Krista Pournaras Javens; six children, Nathan Edmond, Chasity Alexander, Alyssa Javens, Carter Javens, Rylee and Alayna Lavelle; step-son, Aiden Pournaras, step-daughter, Kylie Pournaras; two sisters, Tonya (Thomas) Maxwell, and Bonnie Javens; brother-in-law, Adam (Autumn) Pournaras; mother-in-law (Mom), Lynn (Michael) Pournaras Katekovich; father-in-law, Stanley Pournaras; aunt, Sarah Javens; his cousin mom, Gwenda (Carl) Goode Kaszer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother mother, Dorothea Elizabeth Partington Javens; aunt mother, Beverly "Sis" Goode; aunt mother, Dorothy Mae Javens Johnston; uncle, Richard "Dick" Javens; aunt mom, Dottie Mae Goode; and best friend, William "BJ" Rodgers.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2 PM until the time of services at 5:30 PM in the CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003. Online condolences may be shared at www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the funeral home to help defer the cost of funeral expenses.
