Alfred "Fred" Robert Canepele, 85, of Rochester, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Rochester Manor.
He was born September 7, 1936, in Aliquippa, the son of the late Henry and Albina Tucci Canepele. Fred was an avid baseball player when he was younger, and he graduated from Aliquippa High School class of 1954 and Saint Francis University. Following college, he spent two years in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany and Italy. He was a teacher most of his life, teaching 5th and 6th grade. Fred was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed spending his time watching sports. He also spent many summers camping in Warren, Ohio with his wife, Ann.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife in 1998, Ann Hall Canepele; a brother, Daniel Joseph Canepele; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard Girardi, and Donald Hall.
Surviving are two sisters, Anita (Joseph) Vok, and Dolores Girardi; sister-in-law, Nancy Hall, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nephews, and several cousins.
Interment will be held at a later date, at Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village, Ohio.
