Bettie Eileen Corbin Tucker of Economy Borough, age 87, graduated into internal life on June 28th, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Beryl and Frank Smith Corbin who lived in Morgantown, West Viginia where she also resided until moving to the Pittsburgh area in 1965. Bettie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, John (Jack) R. Tucker Jr., her very special sister, Delores Jane Chambers (Richard), Donald, her brother-in-law (Betty), her in-laws John and Maxine Tucker of Westover, West Virginia.

She is survived by two cherished children, a son, Eric Thomas Tucker (Justine), a daughter, Lori Ann Mastroianni (Silvio), and her delightful grandchildren, Pasquale Mastroianni and Talia Mastroianni, as well as two nieces and three nephews.

While living in Morgantown, Bettie graduated from Morgantown High School, Morgantown Business College, and later attended Southeastern University, pursuing a degree in Pastoral Ministries. She was employed by the United Fund of Monongalia County as an office assistant, worked as a legal secretary, and was an administrative assistant to the director of personnel at West Viginia University.

Bettie fulfilled her lifetime dream of becoming a writer when moving to Pennsylvania. She was published in several Christian newsletters, magazines and had her first of many books published in 1983 which was entitled “The Children’s Rhyming Bible”. Being a devoted Christian, and lifetime member of the Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served in various administrative capacities, Bettie and her husband John founded Rainbows End Christian Publishing Company which they successfully ran for sixteen years, publishing the works of over seventy authors. Bettie was a book reviewer, writing workshop hostess, seminar teacher, a radio talk show host, a speaker at many Christian functions and a frequent guest on local and national television.

Private grave site service will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, WV.
