Betty Deceder

Betty Deceder, age 93, left her earthly home on August 24th, 2022, and danced into her heavenly Father's arms.

She was greeted by many loved ones who had gone before her, including her husband Walter (Beau). Betty had a beautiful heart and her kind soul saw the best in everyone. She was fiercely proud of her West Virginia roots and celebrated her Irish heritage every chance she got.

She and her husband raised six children: Gary, Ron (Kim), Patrice (Tom), David (Sharon), Jeff (Bridget), and Brian (Kim). She was the perfect grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Kathy, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Betty was extraordinarily kind, and anyone who was ever loved by her was always loved by her. She will be missed by so many. Betty had a green thumb and worked magic in the kitchen. Feeding her loved ones and holding space to spend time together was her art form, and she was always willing to fit another chair at her table. She always said she was so blessed in this life, and those who loved her were truly so blessed to have her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003.
