Dolly V. Grinaldi

Dolly V. Grinaldi, 89, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Moon Township Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. 

Born on June 24, 1934, in Horner, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Henline Smith. Dolly was a woman of remarkable character, known for her unwavering love for her family, passion for gardening, and skillful craftsmanship. Dolly's unwavering dedication to her loved ones and her delightful hobbies will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Even though she lived a humble life, Dolly's love for her family knew no bounds. She was a devoted wife and a beloved mother to four children, and a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Grinaldi; a daughter, Susan Grinaldi; and two brothers, Walter Smith, and Jack Smith.

Surviving are three children, Thomas (Kathleen) George, Linda (John) Illig, and Cathy (Scott) Vukich; a sister, Kathleen Bennett; four grandchildren, Mathew Nanni, Christopher George, Eric Vukich, and Kaitlin Ray; five great-grandchildren, Griffin, Jensen, and Brynlee Vukich, and Rylee and Sydney George; and a nephew, John Bennett.

As per the family's request, all services were private. Professional Services were handled by the CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC 1133 Church Street, Ambridge, PA 15003.

A private burial was held at Oak Grove Cemetery - Freedom.

Dolly's legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of her loved ones as they remember her fondly. Her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and warm smile will forever be cherished by those who were blessed enough to have known her.

As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, let us celebrate the invincible spirit that Dolly V. Grinaldi embodied throughout her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared, the memories she created, and the profound impact she left on our lives. Rest in peace, dear Dolly - your light will forever shine upon us all.
