Gertrude Boyd

Gertrude Patricia Boyd, 87, of Baden, died Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Concordia Villa St. Joseph.

Born April 29, 1935, in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Hazel Maloney Richards. Gertrude had a passion for cross stitching, she was the owner of Cross Creek Stitchery. She was a part of many bible studies throughout her life and she enjoyed reading. Gertrude loved her grandchildren, family, and friends more than anything.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Kenneth Scott Boyd; a sister, Betty Lou Richards; and two brothers, Everett "Skip" Richards, and Roger "Butch" Richards.

She is survived by a son, Terry Scott (Therese) Boyd; two daughters, Karen Lynn Boyd, and Sandra Lee (Dwayne) Zern; five grandchildren, Joshua (Crystal) Boyd, Alyssa (Giuseppe) Capolupo, Shane (Alyssa) Boyd, Lindsey (Erik) Hollabaugh, and Zachary (Erin) Zern; seven great-grandchildren, Finley, Luella, Esme, Oliver, Ellie, Everett, and Zoey; close family friends, Toni Stewart, Susan and Brian Dennerlein, and their children, Ashley, Sean, and Drew.

Friends will be received Thursday from 4 PM until the time of service at 7 PM in the CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003. Pastor Dan Aluise will be officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com.

Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
