Jerome A. Farrar, 77, of Harmony Township died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his residence.
Born June 25, 1944, in Sewickley, son of the late Carl and Geraldine Grassi Farrar. Jerry was a mechanical engineer and previously worked for Bollinger's Steel, Zimmermann & Jansen, Heyl & Patterson, and Metso. He was a member of the Millvale and Ambridge Sportsman Clubs and enjoyed woodworking, working around the house, hunting, and fishing. Jerry was an avid follower of all Pittsburgh sports teams as well as Penn State football. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Vescio Farrar; a brother, Carl; and two sisters, Iris Wood and Gloria Milliman.
Jerome is survived by two sons, Jeff (Pam) Farrar of Cecil, and J.R. (Kyleigh) Farrar of Erie; five grandchildren, Jerry, Katelyn, Anthony, James, and Gia: and numerous extended family members.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the time of service at 12:30 PM at Corless-Matter Funeral Home, 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003, www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com.
Interment will be private at Economy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Jerry's name to a charity of your choice.
