JoAnn DeLouis Hetzlein, 82, of Hopewell Township, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Caring Heights Community Care Center.
She was born on June 27, 1941, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Nick and Mary Pieto DeLouis.
Throughout her life, JoAnn was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession. She was a devoted registered nurse who worked at Jefferson Hospital - Allegheny Health System. Outside of her work as a nurse, JoAnn found joy in spending time with her family and cherishing moments with her beloved grandchildren. She poured her unconditional love into her role as a grandmother. She savored each moment spent with her grandchildren. JoAnn also found solace and purpose in her faith. Her devotion to her church provided a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart, Carl Edward Hetzlein; two children, Diana (Sean) Henry, and Alaina (Kenneth) Kolosh; six grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Jordan (Jake), Quinn, Ian (Samantha), and Nathan; and three great-grandchildren, Connor, Carson, and Eli. JoAnn was a cherished aunt to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John DeLouis, Edward DeLouis, Henry DeLouis, and Margaret Hosfield.

Today, we remember JoAnn DeLouis Hetzlein as a compassionate and devoted nurse who dedicated herself to caring for others. Her unconditional love for her family, combined with her unyielding faith in God, created an indelible impact on the lives she touched. While we mourn the loss of such an incredible individual, we also celebrate the beautiful life that JoAnn lived and the profound legacy she leaves behind.
