Lois Mae Beck

Lois Mae Beck, 85, of Economy Boro, passed away on September 25, 2024. She was born on June 2, 1939, to the late Robert and Eliza (Ford) Wolff. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alden Beck, and their son Michael Beck. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Eugene, Harold Ford, Gladys Lias, and Eliza “Honey” Janosik.

Lois dedicated her time and energy into her family, faith, and community. She was a member of Pinehurst Christian Missionary Church and Economy Grange. Lois was a devoted homemaker, renowned for her famous no-bake cookies that were requested to be at every community event. Her commitment to service extended beyond her home, she was a dedicated Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader, and a member of the PTA. She also served her community by delivering newspapers for the Beaver County Times, where she met and made many friends and became a cherished figure in her neighborhood. Her legacy of kindness, service, and community spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Lois is survived by her children, Susan Beck White, Paul (Christine) Beck, John Beck, Patricia (Ed) Gademski, Stephen (Candy) Beck, and Jackie Beck. Her 15 grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, Jessie Eliza, Linda, Joshua, Jesse, John Jr., Cosmo, Nicholas, Nichole, Kyle, Ryan, Andru, Lillian, and Isaac. She is also survived by her siblings Willa, Shirley, Joyce, Robert, and Beverly and numerous loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 2nd, from 4-7 pm in Corless-Matter Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC. A service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
