Mary Ann Kuga

Mary Ann Kuga, 94, passed away on Saturday, October 19th. She was born in Ambridge on February 23, 1930. Proceeded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary Orend; brothers Michael, John, and William Orend; and beloved husband Mike S. Kuga. 

She is survived by children, Susan Kuga Rosen (Alex Rosen) and Michael Kuga (friend Janine Nowacki); daughter-in-law Patti Kuga; grandchildren Marni Rosen, Hannah Kuga Savage (Patrick Savage), Aaron Rosen (Mindi Rosen), Abigail Rosen, and Caitlyn Kuga. Great-grandchildren are Tegan, Anthony, Dalia, Jonah, Naomi, Samuel, Kayla, and Jacob.

Mary Ann graduated from Ambridge High School in 1947. She was the office manager for 30 years at the Edgeworth Club. 

During their 64 years of marriage, Mary Ann and Mike liked bowling, playing cards with friends, polka dancing, and enjoying time spent with their many friends.

Mary Ann truly appreciated her final years at Villa St. Joseph in Baden. She always said that she ate well, slept well, and loved not doing the cooking, cleaning, or laundry. Her favorite phrase was “And this too shall pass.” We appreciate the care and support of the staff, especially Chris Gebhart, Rachelle Arnold, Angela, and many others.

Graveside funeral will be at 10:30 am on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Economy Cemetery in Ambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ambridge, where Mary Ann was a long-time member. We appreciate the support of Pastor Paul Cwynar for his visits to the Villa.
