Bob, 80, of Conway, PA, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on February 24, 2021. He was born and rasied in Baden, PA, Bob was the youngest of four children born to the late Faye and Vera (Robertson) Lindsey. He is survived by his sisters Ardith (Artie) McMillen, Ambridge, PA and his twin, Roberta (Bert) Waslo, New Orleans, LA, and predeceased by brother Wayne. He attended Ambridge High School, class of 1960. Joined the US Navy, served aboard the USS Truckee, a tanker, during the early 1960s, including during the Cuban Missile Crisis, serving one tour of duty, honorably discharged due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Bob met Alice Lee Adams and married in 1965, and they were together until her death in 2010. They moved to Chicago where he worked for Northwest Airlines. Their daughter Donna Lynn was born there in 1966, and the family returned to Leetsdale in 1967, where Bob continued working for Northwest and began working for Pillar Industrial Products, Leetsdale. Son Robert Michael was born in 1969, and the family moved to Conway in 1970. Bob and his wife Alice were longtime members of Concord Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon and Elder. Later he and Alice joined Victory Family Church in Cranberry, where he served as an usher.
Several years after Alice's death, he met and married Kathie Lackovic in 2013. Bob and Kathie loved to travel. They loved the beach, especially the Caribbean beaches.
Bob was one who loved and cared for his family and friends more than most people realized. The underscoring arc of Bob's life was his devotion to his Lord, Jesus Christ and helping others. He would never ask for help but would always offer. He was a sports fan but loved the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathie, children - Donna Chen (Paul) of Mohnton, PA; Robert Michael (Beth) of Columbia, TN; step-children Michele (Andy) Fabian - Texas; Lori Ann (Bob) Harris; Michael (Rachael) Rich and Adam (Veronica) Rich; grandchildren - Andrew Chen (Ashley), Katherine Chen, Justin Chen, and Abigail Chen, Brooke Poerio, Haley Poerio, Ryan Harris, Hayden Harris, Nathan Harris, Jordan Fabian, Michael Rich, Guy Rich; great-grandchildren - Kohen Chen, Olivia Chen, Elijah Harris, Rome Poeiro, Lorelei Poerio
Celebration of life services are planned for Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 AM at Victory Family Church in Cranberry.
