Ruth S. Campbell, 94, of Ambridge, died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Ruth was born July 24, 1926 in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Alice Schallot Schmidt. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she was an avid volunteer.
Surviving are two daughters, Penelope Hojdila and Pamela Knoll; two grandchildren, Gary Matthew Hojdila, and Jordan Leigh Hojdila and his wife, Brittany Morgan; one great-grandson, Waylon Campbell Hojdila; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Patrick Knoll; two brothers, W.H. Schmidt, and Arthur R. Schmidt; two sisters, Alice Groeller, and Emma J. Hojdill; and two sons-in-law, Gary Hojdila, and Rick Knoll.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Corless-Matter Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003, www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com, where a service will be held Wednesday at 10am. Pastor Roxie Costanza, of St. John's of Lovi Church in Cranberry, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
