William Schmidt

William “Bill” Schmidt, 98, of Harmony Township, died Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Concordia Villa St. Joseph.

Born May 29, 1926, in Ambridge, the son of the late Henry and Anna Rehm Schmidt. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Il, serving in the Philippines. Bill worked many years as a car salesman for various dealerships in the area.

Bill was a wonderful husband, father, and pap. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Crane, and Dawn (Rodney) Williams; one son Eric Schmidt; four grandchildren Rodney Jr. (Jenna), Courtney, Thomas (Dominique), and Madyson; and five great-grandchildren, Eva, Scarlett, Lily, Theo, and Lucia.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Lucille; one son William (Tim); five brothers, Matthew, John, Henry, Frederick, and Theodore; five sisters, Anna, Theresa, Betty, Helen, and Marion.

Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the Corless-Matter Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003, www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com, where a service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM. Rev. Matt Klenk will officiate.

Interment will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery, where Beaver County Special Unit will perform full military honors.
